Vinyl Records Saved by USB Turntable
Music is perhaps one of the major reasons that electronic devices have become so powerful so quickly. When the first record players were introduced just a few decades ago, it is very unlikely that people would have seen the amazing electronic advances that were right in front of them. Tape players, CDs and now mp3 players have taken the music of the record age and built on it to the point where the average person can have amazing sound quality for a very reasonable price.
The problem with this however is that there are many great albums that were only released on records and have not really been released on CDs or mp3 files ever since. Just go back to the 1960s and consider all of the one hit wonders of the time. These are groups that likely don’t even have tapes of their songs, let alone CDs or mp3s. For this reason, there are many people out there that should be interested in getting their records converted to be able to use in digital format. If you are one of these people, then the USB turntable is exactly what you need.
A USB turntable is exactly what the name implies. It is a turntable that allows you to utilize USB connectivity in order to connect the turntable to your computer. What this means, simply put, is that through the use of this turntable you can actually take any song that you want to preserve from a record and then convert that song from the record format into an ultra-modern mp3 or mp4 format instead. The turntable device is essentially a device that connects the humble beginnings of electronic music across time to the most modern devices available.
The typical USB turntable will cost around $200.00, although if you buy one second-hand, you can often get it for less than half of that amount. If you buy it second-hand and then sell it back when you are done with the conversions, you would likely pay somewhere in the vicinity of $20 or $30 for using the turntable to convert your record collection and even if you go for the newest one and sell it back after you are done with it you likely won’t pay much more than $50 when all is said and done.
Is your record collection worth $50 to you? Getting the chance to restore the songs on all of your records and have them in electronic format to listen to for the rest of your life is something that is likely priceless to you, just as it is priceless to many people that lived in the record album generation and now are looking for ways to protect the songs from that generation that did not make it through to the present one. With this being the goal, $50 seems like an awfully small price to pay in the grand scheme of things, especially if you have many songs on record that you couldn’t find on CD or mp3.
